Dearest Sufis: You are invited to a one day retreat in Banff, The Journey From Love to Love on Saturday, October 21st, 2017 to be held at 'The Cabin' ~ a part of the historic Buffalo Nations Museum ~ 12:00 noon -5:00pm.
We had a recent Healing retreat at The Cabin and found the site to be excellent. To begin the retreat, there is a good possibility that we will have a ceremonial 'smudge' ritual performed by a Stony Elder associated with the Museum.

I have extended an invitation from our Banff/Canmore Sufi group to all of our beautiful Calgary and Edmonton Sufis.
I know it will be a bit of a longer commute for our Edmonton Sufis but I still wanted you to know how much we would love to have you with us and how much we hope you will consider coming.

We will try not to be too heavily driven by practices but will focus on our sisterhood/brotherhood aspects with special emphasis on our Sufi roots and the family. Our dear Calgary Sufi sister, Qahira Fran Becker has proposed 'a look at the different Inayat Khan women' who so richly contributed to our Sufi history; something I would personally love to know more about.

We will also explore stories from 'Once Upon A Time, Early days Stories About My Beloved Father and Mother'.......a book written by Hidayat Inayat-Khan. Our day will end with the sacred practice of the Singing Zikar of Inayat Khan.
So these are just a few ideas to consider. We would keep the cost to a minimum; $15 to $20 tops. This will help pay for the Cabin for a full day. We will organize a small pot-luck lunch/snack time, mid afternoon.
